About Martha ‘Marlee’ Johnson
Marlee graduated cum Laude with a BA from Western Illinois University in 1982. Blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, she ran several successful home businesses while raising her two children. As they became independent, Marlee was asked to help start an independent K-8 Christian school, where she served for eight years as teacher and principal. Later she stepped into the role of Challenge Director for Classical Conversations, where she co-led a community of homeschool families in providing an academically challenging classical education for their children.
Her passion for helping others achieve their goals, coupled with an interest in home improvement and architecture, led her to pursue a career in real estate after she retired from the educational field. She is a designated Seniors Real Estate Specialist, and has completed both the Commitment to Excellence (C2Ex) Program and the Leadership Program through the Hilton Head Association of Realtors. To better serve her clients, Marlee has also earned the designations of Hilton Head Ambassador and Bluffton Ambassador.
Marlee enjoys reading, sewing, gardening, and snuggling with her two little dogs. She and her husband Paul love exploring the beautiful and historic Lowcountry area, and traveling to visit their kids and grandkids in Savannah and Illinois.
